Long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad, on her fifth attempt to cross the treacherous Florida Straits, completed the historic journey Monday afternoon.

The 64-year old Nyad accomplished her life-long dream when she staggered onto a Key West beach just before 2 p.m., becoming the first person to complete the treacherous swim without the wave-breaking aid of a protective shark cage. Her 110-mile voyage took 52 hours, 54 minutes and 18.6 seconds to complete, according to a tweet by Nyad’s team.

The crowd at Smathers Beach swarmed her in the water, applauding and waving American and rainbow flags. In typical Key West fashion, conch shells sounded.

According to media reports, Nyad walked out of the water when it became too shallow to swim any more. Her lips were swollen by jellyfish stings and her mouth bruised by face gear she wore to protect her from the venomous tentacles.

She hugged her team members and was carted off on a stretcher, but not before she reportedly told supporters: “Never give up.”

No Limits to Human Potential in This Golden Age

And now, a story behind the story…

I have a childhood friend in Florida. She is a university professor with a PhD in medicine who teaches genetics, DNA, etc.  In other words, her research is Creation. So no wonder she was interested in what Mother God had to say on that topic as she commented about the Reptilians’ and our DNAs in my last night’s post. My friend asked me a question this morning:

“What kind of perspective does it give to us, humans?”

Just as I was about to reply, a news item flashed on my computer screen. It was a story about Diana Nyad completing her historic swim from Cuba to Florida. Synchronicity. The Spirit was actually answering my friend’s question. So I wrote back:

“Here’s one answer to your question: Triumph of Human Spirit (that would be my headline for this story).

This is bigger than Mount Everest. Trust me. I have been a long distance swimmer. But nothing like this 64-year old (!!!) woman. Her message: “Never give up.

And then I recalled what Mother God and Master Sananda/Jesus also said in messages I posted yesterday:

  • Well, that’s what we want you to know, dear ones, that we honor you. And that we love you. We love your determination. And we love your spunk. We love your fire.

  • You are passionate. You are creative. You have great integrity.

  • Once you’re out from under these Dark Ones, you will find that you are entering a New Golden Age, with new freedom and no regrets.

  • There are no limits to the possibility for each soul to evolve, to learn and to thrive.

  • All creativity is celebrated, all individuality respected, and all efforts toward Love and Light are supported by Prime Creator and the Ascended Masters who are his Legions of Light.

And what better example to affirm it all than Diana Nyad’s amazing feat.

And now
