My friends and family know I tend to work fast. When an idea comes to me, I don’t dilly-dally around before taking action. But I do not recall ever going from inspiration to recording, to film production, to publishing in less than three hours. Yet that’s what happened this morning with my new musical creation “Desert Sunrise, Sunset.”
I did not even set out to do anything like that. When I sat down at my Clavinova this morning, I thought I was going to play and maybe record “Concierto de Aranjuez,” one of my all-time favorites (see “Concierto de Aranjuez” in Bob Djurdjevic’s Piano Version, Full Version, Mar 10, 2009). But my Spirit guides and teachers had a different idea. It was one of those rare occasions that I received a musical download from them while actually awake.
And so here it is, “fresh off the press,” my latest musical creation in F-major.
