TIME TO SAY GOODBYE – FROM INSPIRATION TO RECORDING IN LESS THAN 5 MINUTES!

You won’t believe what just happened. Yesterday, Elizabeth share with me a link of Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli singing “Time to Say Goodbye.”

And this morning, on my last day in Arizona, out of the blue, I started playing this song, originally recorded by Sarah Brightman: Time to Say Goodbye.

In less than five minutes, I went from inspiration to recording. No practice. And with one minor glitch that I am sure most listeners might not even notice, it was all perfect on a first try! And I even did it in the same key as her CD (G major), which is what I discovered afterward.

So here it is now in my full orchestra Clavinova version… my musical Farewell to Arizona http://MP3

Amazing, how the Spirit works, isn’t it?

PS: The Bocelli and Brightman album’s first single, “Time to Say Goodbye,” was a duet that topped charts across Europe, including Germany, where it stayed at the top of the charts for fourteen consecutive weeks, breaking the all-time sales record, with over three million copies sold in the country. The single went on to sell over twelve million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling singles of all time.
