Dreamtime Guidance Can Foretell Real World Events
Ever since I became conscious of the fact that I was on a path to ascension, about a decade ago now, it has been fascinating to observe the little crumbs the Spirit guides leave for us to find and follow. Sometimes they are events in our “real,” i.e., physical life. At other times they are sounds of music or other ethereal signs. We learn from the land by geomancy, as if by osmosis.
And then there are dreams.
Personally, I have not been big on dreamtime guidance. That’s because they are usually as clear as mud. If I remember anything at all about a dream, it is typically just bits and pieces of a story. Yet even they were good enough to have played a big part in some of my life-changing decisions.
For example, I moved from Arizona to Hawaii in part because of a 2008 dream. Elizabeth and I traveled to Australia a couple of months ago because of a 2014 dream. And earlier this month, I was being guided to go to Africa, the only continent on which I have not yet set foot in this lifetime.
But never ever, not even my wildest dreams, as they say, could I have expected a dream to foretell real life events. Especially not two years to the day BEFORE they actually happened!
This is a story about such a dream… a dream about snakes/serpents and volcanoes here at the Rainbow Shower in Maui.

FROM MY DREAM JOURNAL – Nov 30, 2015
SNAKE/SERPENT AND VOLCANO DREAM
I had a dream last night about our home in Hawaii. It did not look like the real Rainbow Shower, but in my dream, it was it.
They had their nests in the ground. One of them, with a body of about a 1.5 inches in diameter, was partly submerged in its hole. There was another snake pit on a rock which does exist at the real Rainbow Shower.
I felt I needed to kill the one near the house as I did not know whether or not it was poisonous. So I debated whether to go and get a machete or an ax.
Just then, several lava-like bubbles of steam puffed up from the ground around the house (and that snake pit). We had seen steam vents like that around the Kilauea volcano on the Big Island, but never on Maui.
“Perhaps that’s a sign we are about to blow,” I thought looking up at Haleakala, the 10,000 ft Maui volcano, supposedly extinct.
The mountain shrugged. It seemed to be saying to me, “what do you know?”
Still, I went into the house to warn Elizabeth. As I did that, I heard my phone ring with that annoying emergency sound. And then I heard Elizabeth’s phone go off as well.
Meanwhile, she was on her hands and knees cleaning the house, with the contents of several cupboards scattered on the floor around her.
That’s when I woke up.
INTERPRETATION: What does it mean to dream about volcanoes?
Well, volcanoes represents a merging of earth (feminine) and fire (masculine) energies. In my dream, since the steam shut up from the lava vents, it also includes water (also a feminine energy).
In Inca shamanism, the snake or Serpent – Amaru in Quechua (Inca language) – is the sacred animal associated with transformation through Fire (Kundalini) energy. And with the cardinal direction of South.
While opening a sacred space, a shaman faces the cardinal direction of South when calling on the serpent/fire energies to assist him. I do it usually with following words… (http://www.altzar.org/Fire_text.html):
“To the winds of the South,
Home of Amaru, the Serpent,
Who transforms with fire/Kundalini energy
As a master of Uhupacha, the Lower World,
Where souls of our ancestors reside.
Oh, great Amaru, you who holds the wisdom of the ages,
Help me to shed my past and my ego
With ease with which you shed your skin.”
SERPENT COLUMN, KUNDALINI TRANSFORMATION ENERGY
So both the snakes/serpents, which do not exist in Hawaii in real life, and the lava vents, were signs of TRANSFORMATION that’s taking place right now in my life through Kundalini energy.
Indeed, this afternoon, something happened that completely dissolved a potentially life-threatening situation. So my Spirit guides were signaling to me in dreamtime not to be afraid of the things most humans are normally afraid of – snakes and volcanoes; that both were harbingers of good news.
And then I also realized that yesterday, Sunday Nov 29, I created a Serpent Column at the Rainbow Shower in Christmas lights. Just like the Roman Emperor Constantine did, one of my former incarnations, when he transferred it from Delphi, Greece to Constantinople, where it still resides. Elizabeth and I visited both place in 2011 during our European Constantine Pilgrimage (http://yinyangbob.com/Europe2011/TOC2011.html).
INTERPRETATION: What Does it Mean to Dream about Snakes?
To get start interpreting what dreaming about snakes means, here are the most common meanings associated with snakes in dreams:
* A snake is a symbol of the unconscious
* Snakes or serpents indicate you’re in the process of healing and resolving issues
* The snake is a symbol for an untamed part of yourself or an untapped resource
* Snakes could represent your intuition or spiritual aspects of yourself; your instinctual drive, what moves you from the depths of your soul
* Snakes or serpents tend to show up in dreams in times of transition and transformation
* From the classic Freudian perspective, a snake or serpent is a phallic symbol
Generally, a snake featured in a dream means that you’re dealing with a difficult situation or unsettling emotions in your waking life. On the positive side of this dream analysis, dreaming of snakes could also mean that healing and transformation are taking place.
